This is a message to previous and prospective patients.
Due to a change in my working arrangements alongside commencing a new role with the INEOS Grenadiers Cycling Team, I will not be available for new consultations for the present time. What services can I provide for you and your family?
General Practice Services
I provide consultations for a wide range of GP problems, for example: infections; ear, nose, and throat problems; aches and pains; and advice on other medical conditions.
I have access to a wide network of colleagues to whom I can refer if needed.
Sports Medicine Services
I aim to help you find a rapid accurate diagnosis to muscle, bone, or ligament injuries so that you can receive the right treatment from the start.
There are a wide variety of investigations available for me to refer to, and I work with very experienced and skilful Physiotherapy colleagues, as well as Podiatrists, Soft Tissue Therapists, Osteopaths, and Chiropractors.
Medical Examinations
I am able to perform medical examinations for a number of purposes, including: pre-participation sport examinations, pre-employment examinations, and some visa medical checks.
If you require a medical examination please contact me on one of the methods listed below and send me a copy of the requirements so that I can ensure that everything is available when the medical examination is performed.
Blood Tests
I am able to provide blood testing as part of the consultation if needed.
If there are specific blood tests that you require, please send me the list and I will be able to prepare in advance of the consultation.

About me

GENERAL PRACTICE

I am an experienced GP with postgraduate qualifications in a number of general practice areas.

Having worked in general practice in the New Forest for many years, I now provide regular private GP clinics at a number of locations.

I have developed a wide network of trusted specialist colleagues to whom I can refer, and I have access to many local hospital diagnostic facilities including blood tests, X-rays, and MRI scans.

I can also complete medical examinations and reports – please email copies of the report required to be sure that everything needed can be organised in advance.
SPORTS AND EXERCISE MEDICINE

In addition to my GP experience I have considerable experience working in Sports Medicine and looking after sports teams.

I aim to provide rapid diagnosis for Sport, Exercise, and Musculoskeletal issues and work with a wide team to provide effective treatments.

I want to offer the same services to everyday active people and recreational athletes as those that I provide to the elite teams that I look after.

Currently I am a 1st Team Doctor for Southampton Football Club and Head of Medicine for the INEOS Grenadiers Cycling Team.

Previously I have worked at the London 2012 Olympics, as Chief Medical Officer to the British Sailing Team at the Tokyo Olympic Games, and as a doctor for Team Sky Cycling and Team Jayco AlUla Cycling team.
